In Wynau, Bern Canton, Switzerland, in the year 1739, Caspar Rueff and his wife Elsbeth Eberhard have a daughter Verena Magdalena Rueff christened on 15 November. Caspar is from Glasshuetten, near Wynau and Elsbeth is from Las Croisettes in Vaud Canton.
Verena married Bartholome Gygax (abt 1738) of Schwarzhaeusern, Bern, Switzerland and they are the parents of Samuel Gygax(1764). Samuel married Barbara Friedli (1764) and they are the parents of Samuel Gygax (1809). Samuel and Anna Zurlinden (1814) are the grandparents of my great-grandmother Anna Maria Elizabeth Huber Hafen (1862) who immigrated to Utah. Annie's parents are Johann Andreas Huber (1835)and Anna Gygax (1836).
